measure the value of transistor

Transistors are among the main components in electronics. Transistors made of two germanium diodes are put together. Working voltage transistor with a diode is 0.6 volts.
The transistor has three legs are:
• emitter (E)• BASE (B)• COLECTOR (C)

There are 2 types of transistors, namely:
1. PNP transistor (anode cathode anode / cathode leg held together)

2. NPN transistor (cathode anode cathode / anode leg held together)
Example transistor: C 828, FCS 9014, FCS 9013, TIP 32, TIP 31, C5149, C5129, C5804, BU2520DF, BU2507DX, etc.

Symbols in the series: "Q", the symbol image below:

Determining Leg Transistor
  • Determining Leg Base
Play limit measure on ohmmeter X10 or X100.Suppose we call the foot transistor A, B, and C.When the probe is red / black => leg A and the other probe => 2 other foot alternately move the needle all and if reversed hubungnya position does not move then that's all legs BASIS.

  • Determining Leg Colector NPN
Play limit or measure on the ohmmeter X1K X10K.When the probe is red => B and probe foot black => feet C. Then leg A (base) and leg B is held by hand between the legs but do not get connected. When the needle moves a little means that the foot B foot COLECTOR.If the leg base and colector already known means that the foot of which is the emitter.
